How to Make Cold Brew Coffee

It's no secret that Spenser are I are a little coffee-obsessed, but on these Fresno summer days that are well over 100 degrees, hot coffee just doesn't appeal to us as much. That's where cold brew comes to the rescue! I'm not talkin about just adding some ice to your leftover hot coffee from this morning, (don't get me wrong I've done that a time or two) this is way better! I'm gonna teach you how simple and awesome it is to make your own cold brew concentrate at home!

What you'll need.

• Good Whole Bean Coffee (I used Sightglass Blueboon from our recent SF trip)

• Filtered Cold Water

• Pitcher

• Bowl

• Fine Mesh Strainer

• Coffee Filter

Instructions.

• Combine 4 ounces of coarsely ground coffee (I prefer using a burr grinder) with 4 cups cold water. Stir so all grounds are wet. Cover and let sit for 12-24 hours at room temp.

• Line a fine mesh strainer with a coffee filter and set it over a bowl. Gradually pour the coffee through the filter until all the liquid has passed through. Throw away the grounds at the bottom of the pitcher.

•Clean your pitcher and transfer the cold brew back into it. Refrigerate to make it extra cold and delicious!

• When serving, combine with equal parts water or milk and enjoy!
